Wilds Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Stepping into Wilds Bar & Grill feels like slipping into a familiar neighborhood retreat where easy conversation flows as naturally as the drinks. Tucked on W 2nd Street in Chadron, this spot carries a welcoming, unpretentious vibe that invites a mix of locals and visitors alike to slow down and savor the moment. The pace here is relaxed but lively, often punctuated by laughter, quiet cheers from the bar, and the hum of a rodeo—or a game—on the television, tying the room together with a sense of shared experience.
Though it welcomes a friendly, laid-back crowd, Wilds strikes a balance where families and college crowds can comfortably come together. The staff move with steady attentiveness, making sure drinks don’t run dry and that every plate arriving at the table feels thoughtfully prepared—even on the busiest nights. There’s a home-style sincerity to the food, where comfort runs deep and flavors hit just right. Whether it’s the juicy simplicity of a burger, the tenderness of a steak cooked to order, or the satisfying warmth of classic accompaniments, each bite brings a grounded sense of familiarity and care.
The bar pours a solid selection, from light, easy-drinking beers to craft options that brighten conversations and moments alike. Wilds does not dwell on flash; instead, it earns its charm through genuine, approachable hospitality and the kind of robust, straightforward food that stays with you — perfect for a casual lunch stop or a hearty dinner after a day out.
For anyone passing through or looking for an unvarnished local spot to settle in, Wilds Bar & Grill offers a quietly welcoming refuge: a place to enjoy uncomplicated food, friendly faces, and the relaxed rhythm of small-town life.

Nice little dive bar to stop in for a drink. Bonus was a fantastic burger. I got nothing on it but meat and a bun and pepper jack cheese. It was good meat. Fries were good, and I washed it down with a IPA. Wife had fish and she said it was ok. We live near the beach in MX so we get fresh fish that's hard to beat, or compare to. Would stop back again. Sit at the bar and watch the rodeo on tv.

Even though they were very busy while we were there, our server, Hannah, was amazing! It took quite a long time for our food to come but Hannah kept coming to make sure we had drinks and update us. The food was definitely worth the wait once it came, do it was an overall great experience.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while passing through the area. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap and subbed Cheese Curds for the fries. The food was unexpectedly delicious!

I rate this place a 4.6. It was a pleasant surprise, and I do recommend it. I expected a real dive bar, but it was not. It's more of a college and family crowd. The bartender was outstanding. Friendly, and attentive. I noticed the other waitstaff was very good also. I had the Philly Cheesesteak, which was pretty good. Lacked a little flavor, but it was tender. Draft beer selections are a little thin. Mostly domestic, and lighter craft beers.

We stopped in for a late lunch and it wasn’t very busy. Jessica was an excellent server, she got all of our food perfect and checked on us frequently. I got a mushroom and Swiss burger and asked for it medium rare and the actually cooked it that way. There are lots of dollar bills on the bar wall. It stems very large, it has booth and table seating. The bar and restrooms were clean.

The food was great. I came in thinking about a steak, but ultimately decided on a burger. I'm not a fan of chicken fried steaks or ribeye. I did hear that both are a good choice here. The burger patty and egg were cooked just right. The service was on point!

Great place to dine-in if you're into the bar scene. Had a few burgers slightly over cooked in to-go orders in the past, but their food is still good enough to keep me coming back. Their homemade chips are amazing, and they have very friendly staff. My kids love that they give you a cup of pretzels to snack on before your meal while you order. My wife enjoys their Moscow mules.
